Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hulk Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aron Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hogan wants to clinch up but Rogers keeps it at a distance.
Hogan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hogan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hogan fails with a takedown attempt.

Hogan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hogan throwing strikes but missing.
Rogers not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rogers tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hogan drops back looking for a leg! Rogers is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rogers manages to kick Hogan off! Hogan jumps back into Rogers's guard.
Hogan wants to pass the guard but Rogers is keeping the position.

Hogan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rogers works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hogan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Rogers seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hogan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rogers sprawls well. Rogers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hogan gets slowly back to his feet.
Hogan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rogers is fending him off so far but Hogan persists. Nope, Rogers circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hulk Hogan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hogan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogers wants to sweep but no luck.

Hogan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rogers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rogers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rogers!

Hogan tries to buck Rogers off but Rogers is having none of it.
Hogan is trying to control Rogers's posture but Rogers avoids it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hogan is looking to regain half guard here but Rogers keeps moving and retains side control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Hogan lands a head kick. Rogers smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Hogan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hogan tries to land a leg kick but Rogers saw it coming and moves away.
Hogan misses with a wild combination.
Rogers dives in and grabs Hogan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hogan pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out.
Hogan stuffs the takedown attempt from Rogers. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet.

and Rogers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hogan's guard now.
Rogers is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hogan tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hogan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rogers manages to get himself to full guard.
Rogers is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rogers will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hogan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rogers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rogers has escaped and now he's on top!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hogan is on top in guard.
Rogers pulls Hogan in to control the position.
Hoganis looking to pass into half guard but Rogers pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rogers is in guard.
Hogan wants to sweep here but Rogers controlling him for the moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Hogan drives through and clinches with Rogers against the cage.
Rogers is pressed up against the cage. Hogan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rogers down to the mat. Rogers avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rogers dives in and grabs Hogan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hogan pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out.

Rogers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hogan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rogers works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Hogan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hogan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hogan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rogers's half guard.

Hogan is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Rogers still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Rogers has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Hulk Hogan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hogan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rogers off and has taken his back!
Rogers can't escape the position.
Rogers finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Rogers wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hogan.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hulk Hogan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hogan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
