Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mattias Liivak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Rocket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mattias Liivak has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocket gets a clinch.
Liivak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Liivak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rocket is fending him off so far but Liivak persists. Nope, Rocket circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Liivak. No joy for Rocket on that attempt.

Rocket decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rocket is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rocket tries to pass to full mount but Liivak defends it.

Rocket is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Rocket is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Liivak gets his way!

Liivak is riding his opponent, not letting Rocket buck him off.
Liivak is trying to stick to Rocket's back but Rocket is turning into Liivak. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Liivak's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rocket.
Liivak lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rocket!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rocket is desperately trying to improve his position but Liivak has a good base and remains in mount.
Rocket is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Rocket tries to reverse the position but Liivak maintains control.
Rocket bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Liivak is on top in guard.
Rocket is striking but Liivak is not phased and passes to half guard.
Liivak seems to be looking for submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that Mattias Liivak will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rocket changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Liivak looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Rocket wants to lay and pray for a moment but Liivak keeps working.
Liivak is trying to control Rocket's posture but Rocket avoids it.
Liivak manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rocket's best efforts.
Rocket is breathing heavily.
Rocket stalling away here and it's allowed Liivak to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Liivak wants to stand but Rocket is controlling the position.

Liivak wants to get back to his feet but Rocket is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Liivak is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Liivak is looking to stand up but Rocket isn't so interested in that idea.
Rocket postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rocket closes the distance and clinches up with Liivak, looking for a takedown. Rocket pushes Liivak against the cage but Liivak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rocket shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liivak pinned against the cage. Liivak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rocket on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Liivak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mattias Liivak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rocket.
Rocket misses with the ground and pound.
Rocket tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rocket has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Liivak pushes Rocket off looking to stand but Rocket dives back in and keeps control.

The fighters are battling for position here. Liivak manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Rocket drops back, looking for a kneebar! Liivak looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Liivak looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Liivak!

A close second round but Ricky Rocket will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Liivak lands with a nice combination. Rocket backs away looking to recover.
Rocket closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Liivak prevents Rocket from moving into mount.

A big shot lands for Rocket! That's hurt Liivak! Will he recover? Rocket fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
