Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexsander Jann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jann has chosen Sepultura - Attitude as his entrance music. Jann has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Alexsander Jann looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva thuds a left hand into Jann's body.
Jann looks gassed!

Jann fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Jann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jann but Jann pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva connects with a nice looking jab.
Nice shot lands for Silva.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Patrick Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice uppercut lands for Silva. That snapped Jann's head back.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
Silva is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Jann misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jann shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Jann's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jann momentarily.

Jann tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva stuffs the takedown attempt from Jann. Jann gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Horrible takedown by Jann or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jann is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jann's back instead.

Jann is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Silva gets his way!
Silva is hanging on to Jann's back as he tries to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jann defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jann looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Silva has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Jann is in real trouble here. Silva gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Jann is tapping out! Silva wins by rear naked choke!
