Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between anthony hyatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Lidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

hyatt is looking for a sweep. Lidell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

hyatt has control of Lidell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lidell regains control of the situation pretty easily.

hyatt cracks Lidell with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
hyatt sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

hyatt wants to take Lidell's back but he can't do it this time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

hyatt tries to score with some ground and pound. Lidell controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Chuck Lidell has got the better of the ground game so far.
hyatt is looking to take a break and control but Lidell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

hyatt decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lidell to his feet.

hyatt decides to take the fight back to the feet.
hyatt throws out a leg kick but Lidell moves out of range and hyatt only half commits.
Horrible takedown by hyatt or perhaps it was just good defense by Lidell which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for anthony hyatt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lidell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. hyatt sees it coming and avoids it easily.

hyatt tries to close the distance and clinch but Lidell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
hyatt is looking to slow Lidell down with leg kicks.
No joy there for hyatt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lidell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from hyatt.

Lidell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows hyatt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lidell can't keep his opponent in guard - hyatt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
