The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
von Goethe slips under a jab.
Gavin is looking to chop away at von Goethe's legs.
Gavin throws a low kick but it's checked well by von Goethe.
Gavin cracks von Goethe with a good jab.
von Goethe cracks Gavin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
von Goethe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gavin misses the jab.
Dennis Gavin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Gavin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
von Goethe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gavin.
A telegraphed right hand from Gavin misses the target.
von Goethe lands a body shot.
von Goethe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
von Goethe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gavin doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
von Goethe moves out of range as Gavin strikes.
von Goethe thuds his right hand into Gavin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gavin throws out a loose jab but von Goethe uses good head movement to avoid it.
von Goethe attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Gavin swings and misses with a shot to the body
and von Goethe counters with a lovely shot to the body.
von Goethe throws a low kick but Gavin moves out of range easily.
Gavin throws a lazy right hand but von Goethe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice straight punches there by Gavin. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gavin.

Gavin is breathing heavily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as von Goethe checks a leg kick.
von Goethe lunges at Gavin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gavin's hand.
It looks like Dennis Gavin has been cut.
von Goethe changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

von Goethe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gavin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Gavin throws a solid leg kick but von Goethe takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Gavin.
Gavin takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
von Goethe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gavin.

von Goethe lands a jab to Gavin's midsection.
von Goethe darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gavin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
von Goethe walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Gavin drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! von Goethe swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Gavin's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
