Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tenderness by General Public. Dave Kaplan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kaplan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Askren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaplan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
