PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edson Conterraneo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maestre Hulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maestre Hulk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hulk drops back looking for a leg! Conterraneo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Conterraneo manages to kick Hulk off! Hulk jumps back into Conterraneo's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hulk slips nicely into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hulk lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like Edson Conterraneo has been cut.

Hulk landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hulk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hulk connects with a nice short shot to Conterraneo's temple.

Edson Conterraneo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Conterraneo is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hulk scores with a couple of nice shots.

Jeez, Edson Conterraneo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Edson Conterraneo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
