Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dave Smith is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Gunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Smith!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Smith wants to clinch up but Gunn keeps it at a distance.
Gunn slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt
and Smith counters with a shoot takedown. Gunn fights it but they end up in guard.
Smith gets to his feet - Gunn follows without any prompting.
Smith has managed to clinch.
Smith tries to break the clinch but Gunn is controlling the position.
Smith wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Smith is pressed up against the cage. Gunn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Smith down to the mat. Smith avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gunn.
Gunn wants to clinch but Smith slips to the side
and Smith counters with a left and a right that stings Gunn.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Gunn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Smith blocks a head kick by Gunn.
Gunn throws a right hand that misses
and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith wants to clinch up but Gunn keeps it at a distance.
Gunn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Some wild striking there from Smith.
Gunn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gunn is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith dips to his left and cracks Gunn with an uppercut!
Gunn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gunn off to one side.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Gunn counters with a straight right hand.
Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith slips under a jab from Gunn.
Gunn fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Gunn clinches.
Gunn works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Smith can't break the clinch.
Gunn manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Gunn wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gunn stands up from half guard.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smith.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gunn has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith tries to break the clinch but Gunn is controlling the position.
Gunn's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Gunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gunn lands a two punch combo.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.

enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gunn counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gunn scores with a takedown into Smith's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet.
Gunn stops Smith from standing up.
Smith pushes Gunn off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Smith throws a nice outside leg kick.
Smith wants to clinch
and Gunn counters with a left to the body.
A left and a right from Gunn both land. Nice combination.
Gunn dodges the punch combination from Smith.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Gunn counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gunn has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Smith uses from the top position.
Gunn wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.
Gunn wriggles free and stands up.
Gunn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gunn shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Gunn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dave Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith misses with a combination
and Gunn counters by clinching up.
Smith with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gunn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gunn gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gunn keeps control of Smith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Smith misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gunn.
Gunn pulls guard effortlessly.
Gunn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smith is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gunn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smith's back instead.
Gunn tries to get the hooks in deep but Smith pushed the leg off.
Gunn biding his time, controlling Smith.
Gunn is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Smith defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Gunn really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Smith.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Gunn has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Smith is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
