PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clinical CPW (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teppi Tarinashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). CPW comes to the cage accompanied by Purple Rain. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
CPW tries to score with a low kick but Tarinashi moves his leg out of the way.
CPW throws a solid leg kick but Tarinashi takes the impact on his shin and smiles at CPW.

Tarinashi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. CPW is aware though and is defending well.
CPW wants to stand but Tarinashi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Tarinashi has his foot on CPW's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. CPW works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tarinashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but CPW can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

CPW got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tarinashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, CPW has managed to get both his arms back between Tarinashi's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tarinashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. CPW tries to avoid it but Tarinashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag CPW to the ground. CPW escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Clinical CPW will probably get the nod.
