Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abrahms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Sarbinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tank Abrahms could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Yuri Sarbinov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tank Abrahms!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yuri Sarbinov!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sarbinov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sarbinov works on Abrahms's body with a couple of short punches.

It looks like Yuri Sarbinov has been cut.
Sarbinov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Abrahms walks away with a smile on his face. Sarbinov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Abrahms shoots in but Sarbinov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Sarbinov looks to score with a jab to the body but Abrahms is just out of range.

Abrahms is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sarbinov is keeping busy.
Abrahms seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Sarbinov is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Sarbinov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Abrahms drops back looking for a leg! Sarbinov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sarbinov manages to kick Abrahms off! Abrahms jumps back into Sarbinov's guard.

Abrahms shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sarbinov sprawls well. Sarbinov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Abrahms gets slowly back to his feet.
Sarbinov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sarbinov looks to clinch
and Abrahms counters with a left and a right that stings Sarbinov.
Sarbinov avoids the head kick by Abrahms.

Sarbinov gets the takedown into side control.
Sarbinov working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Abrahms is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Abrahms's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A big left from Sarbinov misses.
A combination from Abrahms does no damage.
Sarbinov tries to close the distance and clinch but Abrahms swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sarbinov shoots for a double leg takedown but Abrahms sprawls well. He's pushed Sarbinov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sarbinov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Abrahms will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The strikes coming from Sarbinov are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Abrahms displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sarbinov throws out the jab.

Abrahms closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Abrahms looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I've got Sarbinov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
