Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahut Uno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Porter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mahut Uno!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uno uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Porter.

Uno shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Porter's guard.

Porter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Uno defends it easily.
Porter trying to control the position.
Uno trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Porter wants to sweep but no luck.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Porter tried to score with a low kick but Uno checks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Porter thumps Uno with a low kick.
Uno tries to clinch but Porter is having none of it.
Porter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A left lands for Porter.
Uno fails with an attempt to clinch.
Porter stuffs the takedown.
Porter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Uno throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Porter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uno moves away.
Uno is looking to clinch but Porter is avoiding it.

Porter gets caught flat footed, as Uno shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Porter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Uno got a little sloppy there for a moment and Porter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Uno has managed to get both his arms back between Porter's legs - danger averted.

Porter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Uno trying to control the position from guard on top but Porter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Porter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Porter lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Uno!
Uno can't escape the position.
Porter thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Uno is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Porter has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Uno's face.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Uno slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Porter is looking for a kimura here.
Porter tries to pass to full mount but Uno defends it.
Uno is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Porter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Porter's back!
Uno wants to control but Porter is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
I really don't envy Porter right now.
Uno doesn't have the hooks in and Porter manages to turn into his guard.
Porter trying to control but Uno is working from the bottom.
Uno is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Uno keeping moving, preventing Porter from controlling successfully.

Porter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Uno is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Uno has escaped and now he's on top!
Uno wants to control from the top but Porter keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Porter will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Uno uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Porter.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Uno.
Porter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Porter actively working from the bottom here.
Uno tries to pass to full mount but Porter defends it.
Uno is looking to take a break and control but Porter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Uno in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Porter tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Uno!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mahut Uno!
