PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oppolla Doc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emilio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doc kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Heat - The Jesus and Mary Chain. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos jabs at Doc's body.
Doc keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ramos.
Ramos explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Ramos misses with a wild body shot.

Ramos avoids a kick to the body.
Doc checks a leg kick.
Doc throws a right and a left that both miss.

A jab-cross combination lands for Ramos and sends Doc crashing to the mat! Ramos follows him down to the mat - Doc regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Oppolla Doc has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Doc is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramos thows a huge punch but Doc dodges it nicely.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Doc is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ramos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Doc throws a wild body kick that Ramos sees coming a mile off.
Ramos misses with a head kick.
Ramos throws a right hand that Doc ducks under and follows up with a left that Doc also avoids with ease.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ramos tries to land a leg kick but Doc saw it coming and moves away.
Doc throws a sloppy head kick and Ramos moves out of range easily.
Doc swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Doc staying out of range there.

Doc lands a left and a right that send Ramos crashing to the mat, dazed. Doc thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Emilio Ramos has been cut.
Doc tries to bum rush Ramos with a series of wild strikes but Ramos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Doc ducks under a wild hook from Ramos.
Doc stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A clash of legs there as Doc blocks the low kick.
Ramos thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Doc if he has to take too many more of those.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ramos dips to his left and cracks Doc with an uppercut!

Oppolla Doc's cut is getting worse.
Doc moves out of range of the leg kick from Ramos.
Ramos misses with a wild combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Emilio Ramos dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Doc counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Doc looks at the referee who does nothing so Doc lands a crushing right that sends Ramos to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oppolla Doc!
