Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between randy orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and brandon vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, brandon vera!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
orton moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

vera darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
orton flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
orton trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but vera manages to pass to mount!
orton is just holding on here. vera manages to take his back.
orton looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
orton rolls, trying to escape but vera keeps control of the position.
orton turns into vera and is now in his guard.

vera being controlled here, momentarily.
orton would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
vera keeping moving, preventing orton from controlling successfully.
vera not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
orton advances position into side control!
orton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
vera throws a few strikes from the bottom but orton takes advantage and mounts!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
vera keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
vera looks gassed!

orton get's back to his feet.
An inside leg kick from vera misses.

vera is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in orton's half guard.
orton works his way to full guard. Good work.

vera wants to pass the guard but orton is keeping the position.
vera trying to control but orton is working from the bottom.
orton pulls vera in close to his closed guard and prevents vera from doing any damage or advancing position.
vera postures up.
orton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
orton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that randy orton will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

orton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
vera blocking the ground and pound attempt from orton.
orton working over vera with some ground and pound. vera looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
orton winds up and cracks vera with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Well, if orton is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

orton is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! vera is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
