Kawai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ace of Spades. Smelly Nickers has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Smelly Nickers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kekoa Kawai!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickers throws a hook but Kawai blocks it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nickers avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kawai slips a straight right by Nickers.
Nice takedown defense from Kawai. No joy for Nickers on that attempt.
Kawai thuds a left hand into Nickers's body.
Nickers takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kawai connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nickers's hands.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kawai.
Kawai connects with a crisp jab.
Nickers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kawai's waist but Kawai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nickers off to one side.
Kawai shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kawai was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
BOOM! Kawai connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Kawai takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kawai throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kawai lands a nice shot to the head.
Kawai pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Nickers is rocked!
Nickers takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kawai's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kekoa Kawai!
