The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Buckstars.
Buckstars waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Marquiss. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Marquiss to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Marquiss is rocked!
Buckstars trying to stand up but can't free himself from Marquiss's guard.
Marquiss is still on wobbly legs! Can Buckstars finish him?
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Marquiss seems to have recovered his senses.
Buckstars has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Marquiss wants to get back to his feet but Buckstars is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Marquiss pushes Buckstars off and gets back to his feet.

Marquiss throws a jab when Buckstars was well out of range.
A combination from Buckstars does no damage.
Marquiss misses with a combination

and Buckstars counters with a left and a right that hurts Marquiss! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Buckstars jumps into full mount!

Marquiss is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Buckstars's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Oooh a lovely combination from Buckstars sends Marquiss down but not out. Buckstars dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Steven Marquiss has been cut.

Buckstars stands up and beckons Marquiss to his feet.
Steven Marquiss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Buckstars lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Marquiss is looking to close the distance but Buckstars sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Marquiss crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Marquiss is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
