PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dukul One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Carlos Jackson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by One.

It looks like Carlos Jackson has been cut.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.
One really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jackson looks gassed!
One looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jackson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches One napping and manages to drive through into side control!
One is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Jackson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
One tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

One manages to stand up with Jackson still on his back. Eventually Jackson drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
One lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

One gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jackson slips nicely into half guard.

Jackson decides to return to a standing position.

Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by One which made him look bad.

Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. One sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
One looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson decides to return to a standing position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
One is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jackson has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders One to his feet.
One is looking to land body kicks.

Jackson scores with a takedown into One's guard.
One knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
One is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jackson is controlling him.

Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on One, up you get!

One throws a head kick that misses.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson tries for a kimura but One is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One is trying to buck Jackson off.

One explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Jackson scores with a takedown into One's guard.

Jackson stands and steps away. One gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
One throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
