Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between dic cheddars (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and fred dirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dirk is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A swing and a miss from cheddars.

cheddars shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in dirk's guard.
cheddars trying to control the position from guard on top but dirk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
cheddars lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

cheddars throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
dirk sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed cheddars's guard.

cheddars is staying active underneath dirk, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
dirk wants to free his trapped foot but cheddars is holding on for dear life with his legs.

dirk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

cheddars really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

dirk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

cheddars decides to pull guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
dirk is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

dirk passes easily into side control. Nice work.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
cheddars tries to bench press dirk off him but dirk keeps the position.

dirk has hold of cheddars's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! cheddars tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - dirk cranks the arm and cheddars screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from cheddars, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
