The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sirra fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Couch, pushing him back against the cage.

Sirra breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sirra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Couch tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sirra gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Couch.
Sirra lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Donovan Couch has been cut.
Couch tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vel Sirra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donovan Couch.
Couch tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sirra just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sirra lands a shoulder strike.
Couch tries to pull guard but Sirra won't allow it.
Sirra scores with a shot to the side of Couch's head.
Couch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sirra smiles and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Sirra. No joy for Couch on that attempt.

Sirra gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Couch is still on wobbly legs! Can Sirra finish him?
Couch changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sirra fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Sirra moves into the clinch successfully.

Sirra unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Couch! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Sirra is unloading with more strikes now! Couch drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
