Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCarthy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Yang!

Yang is looking to improve his position but McCarthy isn't that keen on the idea.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ryan McCarthy.

Yang has his foot on McCarthy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McCarthy works his way back into a safe position though.
McCarthy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Yang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCarthy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McCarthy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
McCarthy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McCarthy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McCarthy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
McCarthy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yang for as long as he can get away with.

Ryan McCarthy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Yang.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yang is looking for a triangle here but McCarthy uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
