Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kujo Yoritsune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Thurtz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoritsune comes to the cage accompanied by JAPAN. The key to victory for Kujo Yoritsune has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kujo Yoritsune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michel Thurtz!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoritsune fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Yoritsune tries to keep at a distance but Thurtz has taken the fight into the clinch.
Yoritsune tries to circle away but Thurtz has him pinned against the cage.
Yoritsune is trying to break free.

Thurtz gets control of Yoritsune's arms and successfully pulls guard. Thurtz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Yoritsune thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Yoritsune has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Thurtz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yoritsune is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yoritsune controls Thurtz momentarily but Thurtz frees himself.

Yoritsune might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yoritsune manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Thurtz manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Yoritsune prevents Thurtz from getting back to his feet.
Thurtz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Yoritsune is looking to advance position but Thurtz has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Thurtz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Let's hope that Thurtz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Yoritsune tries to lock up and control but Thurtz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Michel Thurtz just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Yoritsune stalks Thurtz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thurtz's face. Thurtz staggers backwards, shaken.
Thurtz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yoritsune.

Yoritsune throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thurtz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yoritsune moves away.
Yoritsune lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thurtz backs up against the cage.

Some wild striking there from Yoritsune.

Yoritsune leaves Thurtz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kujo Yoritsune is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yoritsune moves away from the strike by Thurtz.
Yoritsune scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Thurtz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yoritsune swats him away and circles back towards the center.

A punch lands to the side of Thurtz 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Yoritsune ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Thurtz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yoritsune manages to avoid it.
Yoritsune comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Yoritsune lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thurtz backs up against the cage.

Thurtz has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Yoritsune clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
