The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash takes one on the button.
Cole stuffs the takedown.
Nash tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cole sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nash somewhat.

Cole connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nash momentarily.
Nash slips a straight right by Cole.
Nash misses with a series of wild punches.
Nash throws the left hand but Cole avoids the punch easily.
Cole swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Nash.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cole looks to score with a jab to the body but Nash is just out of range.
Cole stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amare Nash. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cole bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Nash! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Nash is rocked!

It looks like Amare Nash has been cut.
Cole sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Nash is working an open guard so Cole takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Nash tries to get into range but Cole steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Nash! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Cole scores the big KO victory!
