Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mr Ag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ag kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Iron Lion Zion. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson is trying to drag Ag to the mat but Ag just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Jackson digs a right hand into Ag's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ag's gas tank.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ag regains guard.

Jackson wants to work for an arm triangle but Ag is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Ag's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ag wants to get back to full guard but Jackson has passed into side control.
BOOM! Jackson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Poor strikes thrown by Jackson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Joe Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Jackson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ag.
Jackson lands with a nice body punch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Ag.
Jackson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ag on the side of the head.
Jackson misses the shot to the body.

Jackson rushes Ag and presses him up against the cage.

Ag is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jackson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ag to the mat. Ag regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jackson is looking to advance position but Ag has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Jackson is controlling an arm, preventing Ag from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Ag is working hard here to advance position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jackson wants to control but Ag is having none of it.
Jackson working to try and regain half guard.
Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jackson tries to hold on but Ag postures up.
Jackson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Joe Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Jackson wants to hold on but Ag pushes him away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jackson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Jackson wants to control but Ag is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mr Ag has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jackson gets back to full guard.
Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
