Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gary Sandusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Oyster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandusky comes into the arena with Ice Ice Baby blaring out of the sound system. Earl Oyster will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Sandusky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Earl Oyster!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oyster connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Oyster misses with an uppercut.
Oyster jabs at Sandusky's body.
Oyster slaps away a takedown attempt from Sandusky, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Oyster throws a body punch but Sandusky moves out of range.
Sandusky misses with a hook. Oyster ducked under it nicely.
Oyster finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Oyster ducks under a wild hook from Sandusky.
Oyster tries to bum rush Sandusky with a series of wild strikes but Sandusky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oyster ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Sandusky takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oyster throws a head kick that half lands.
Oyster cracks the inside of Sandusky's front leg.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sandusky, as that shot connected.
Sandusky lands a nice shot that snaps Oyster's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sandusky is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Sandusky has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Sandusky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Oyster is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sandusky is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Sandusky's corner calls for a 1-2. Sandusky obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sandusky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oyster.

and Sandusky counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sandusky.

Oyster is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Sandusky has Oyster pressed against the cage, preventing Oyster from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Earl Oyster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oyster lands with a kick to the temple. Sandusky shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Sandusky throws a hook to the side of Oyster's head but Oyster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sandusky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Oyster stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gary Sandusky will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Gary Sandusky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Oyster is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gary Sandusky.
I think Sandusky has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
