Kovacic's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wtihin Temptation-Memories. Kovacic has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Glavatskyh!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Glavatskyh paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kovacic looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Glavatskyh.

Glavatskyh working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Glavatskyh tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Glavatskyh has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Glavatskyh is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kovacic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Glavatskyh goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kovacic has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Glavatskyh but great work by Kovacic.

Glavatskyh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Glavatskyh is looking to control Kovacic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Glavatskyh avoid being mounted?

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Glavatskyh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Glavatskyh has his foot on Kovacic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kovacic works his way back into a safe position though.
Glavatskyh is controlling Kovacic's posture.
Kovacic won't allow Glavatskyh to sweep him here.

Kovacic is fighting to break Glavatskyh's control of his arms but Glavatskyh is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Kovacic is looking to stand up but Glavatskyh won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Glavatskyh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kovacic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Glavatskyh seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Glavatskyh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Glavatskyh has a closed guard, preventing Kovacic from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Glavatskyh dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kovacic is looking to clinch but Glavatskyh is avoiding it.

Glavatskyh closes the distance and clinches.
Glavatskyh looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Glavatskyh drags the fight down to the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Glavatskyh pushes a forearm under Kovacic's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Kovacic is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
