Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dixon Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Mendosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon Cox could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Paulo Mendosa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dixon Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paulo Mendosa!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendosa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cox shoots for a double leg takedown but Mendosa sprawls well. He's pushed Cox's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mendosa is looking to regain half guard here but Cox keeps moving and retains side control.
