PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between jesus pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Faber comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ludacris - Act A Fool kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Urijah Faber!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber tries to score a power double leg takedown but pettis sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Faber somewhat.
Faber moves out of range of the body kick from pettis.
Faber changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. pettis tries to avoid it but Faber manages to keep hold of a leg and drag pettis to the ground. pettis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Faber dodges the punch combination from pettis.
Faber fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
jesus pettis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urijah Faber.

pettis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

pettis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Faber has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, pettis has managed to get both his arms back between Faber's legs - danger averted.
