Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Barrington Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finny Gussa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Xavier shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Gussa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Xavier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Xavier is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gussa connects with a decent elbow.

Xavier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gussa lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Xavier down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gussa lands a strong strike to the head of Xavier. That's dazed him! Gussa looking to finish here. Xavier is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Gussa lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
