Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between wes simms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Brown struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jason Brown will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? simms is fending him off so far but Brown persists. Nope, simms circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from simms. No joy for Brown on that attempt.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but simms sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
wes simms has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Brown.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says simms as he avoids it easily.
simms closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
simms maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Brown could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but simms has cracked it and Brown is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by simms!
