Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yrjo Pieru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Zulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulu misses with a low kick.

Pieru has managed to clinch.
Zulu keeps control of Pieru as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Pieru escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Yrjo Pieru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pieru throws a wild body kick that Zulu sees coming a mile off.
Zulu goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Zulu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zulu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pieru but Pieru pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pieru wants to break the clinch but can't.

Pieru's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pieru slaps away a takedown attempt from Zulu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Zulu lands with an uppercut that bounces Pieru off the ropes and back into rage.
Nice uppercut lands for Pieru. That snapped Zulu's head back.
Pieru misses with a two punch combination.

Zulu feints and as Pieru raises his hands in defense, Zulu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Pieru scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Zulu throws a right hand that Pieru ducks under and follows up with a left that Pieru also avoids with ease.
Pieru throws a big shot that misses.
Zulu throws a hook to the side of Pieru's head but Pieru sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pieru bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Zulu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Zulu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Pieru throws a sloppy head kick
and Zulu counters with a left and a right that stings Pieru.

Pieru darts in trying to clinch
and Zulu counters with a stiff right hand.

Zulu tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Zulu drags the fight down to the ground.
Zulu has a closed guard, preventing Pieru from standing up.

Zulu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Zulu is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pieru throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Zulu's body to avoid the submission. Zulu has instead reached around Pieru's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Zulu arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
