Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fungus Mcanus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Quim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mcanus might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gubben i Lådan. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcanus misses with a wild body shot.
Mcanus misses with a series of wild punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mcanus. Quim does a little dance to reset his feet.
Quim fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mcanus avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mcanus!

A nice inside leg kick there by Quim. That's going to slow Mcanus down.
Quim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mcanus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Quim somewhat.
Quim walks into a straight right hand from Mcanus.

Quim has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Jimmy Quim has been cut.
Quim dives in and grabs Mcanus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcanus pushes down on Quim's head and hops out.
Fungus Mcanus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Quim.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mcanus tries to clinch there but Quim circles away.

Mcanus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mcanus slaps away a takedown attempt from Quim, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Mcanus works over Quim's head and body with a nice combination.
Mcanus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Quim was well out of range. Poor timing from Mcanus.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Quim misses with a takedown attempt - Mcanus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mcanus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcanus wants it to stay on the feet.
Mcanus swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Mcanus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mcanus lands a nice looking body shot.
Quim is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcanus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Quim thows a body shot but no joy.
Quim shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcanus pinned against the cage. Mcanus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mcanus throws a leg kick that is checked
and Quim counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mcanus!

Quim avoids the attempt from Mcanus to control.
Quim is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Mcanus is trying to stand.
Mcanus tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mcanus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Quim looking to control but Mcanus is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mcanus is wriggling around trying to escape.
Quim fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
It looks like Fungus Mcanus has been cut.
Mcanus tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mcanus is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Mcanus is in a horrible position here. Quim smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Mcanus sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Quim throwing shots but Mcanus is blocking nicely.
Mcanus wants to improve his position but Quim is controlling well.
Mcanus is trying to maintain the position but Quim is very close to passing his half guard.
Quim seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcanus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mcanus gets full guard.
Quim with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Quim is looking to work some ground and pound but Mcanus has wrist control.

Mcanus keeping moving, preventing Quim from controlling successfully.
Mcanus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Quim won't allow Mcanus to get back to his feet.
Quim throws a sloppy strike and Mcanus has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Quim is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Mcanus!
