Garris has chosen Blowin Money Fast by: Rick Ross as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Logan Harter could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rex Garris's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Logan Harter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Garris!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harter changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Harter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Garris looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Garris has taken the fight to the clinch.
Garris trying to land knees to the body.
Harter digs a right hand into Garris's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Garris's gas tank.

Harter breaks from the clinch.
Garris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Garris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harter pinned against the cage. Harter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Harter punishes Garris's body with a nice straight punch.
Garris looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Garris on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Harter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Garris stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Harter lands with a good body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harter. Garris does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice uppercut there from Harter.
Harter slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Harter lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Garris at a distance.

Harter shoots in and bounces Garris off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Harter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Harter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Garris works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Harter is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Garris working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Harter.
Garris preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Harter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harter controls from within his opponent's guard.
Harter is looking to work some ground and pound but Garris has wrist control.

Harter passes Garris's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Harter is nestled in close to Garris, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Harter connects with a nice short shot to Garris's temple.

Harter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Garris with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Harter landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Harter winds up and cracks Garris with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Harter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garris keeps working.
Garris is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Harter scores with a couple of nice shots.
Garris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harter is working away from the top position though.

Harter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Garris is still in real trouble! Can Harter finish him?

Harter is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Garris is hurt! He's hurt bad - Harter fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Garris from any more punishment! Congratulations to Harter! Great finish!
