The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Assis blocks the leg kick.
Lippencot fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Assis checks it well.
Assis scores with a jab to the body.
Lippencot throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Assis.
Lippencot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Assis moves away.
A head kick from Assis lands but Lippencot takes it in his stride.

It looks like Hans Lippencot has been cut.
Assis misses with a low kick.
Assis slips a jab from Lippencot.
Lippencot throws a jab but it's blocked by Assis.
Assis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Assis ducks under a wild hook from Lippencot.
Assis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lippencot misses with a double jab.
Lippencot throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Assis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lippencot circles away quickly and effectively.

Whack! Assis lands a heavy head kick that drops Lippencot. The ref tackles Assis to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Lippencot was done.
