Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Rosenthal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Spong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rosenthal lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Spong misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rosenthal moves into range and connects with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spong wants to land a leg kick but Rosenthal is out of range.
Spong uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rosenthal.
Rosenthal lands a slapping body shot.
Spong listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A big left from Rosenthal misses.
Rosenthal cracks Spong with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Spong looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rosenthal finish him?
Spong is rocked!
Spong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rosenthal swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Oh Spong is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Spong is holding his hands too far apart here. Rosenthal throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Spong is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
