Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between jari xera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jarno pera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pera leaves xera with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - pera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
pera feints and then cracks xera's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow xera down.

and xera counters with a big head kick but pera shrugs it off.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to jari xera.
