The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amparo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Amparo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Amparo tries to clinch but Baysa moves out of range.
Amparo stuffs the takedown attempt from Baysa. Baysa gets slowly back to his feet.

Baysa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Amparo lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Amparo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Baysa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Amparo darts in and clinches Baysa up against the cage.

Amparo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Baysa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Baysa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Amparo's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Amparo is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Baysa jumps into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Baysa is looking to take a break and control but Amparo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Baysa in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Amparo is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
