Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Go Jira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Giant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jira shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jira showed some decent athleticism there.
Jira tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Giant.

Giant has one foot on Jira's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Giant shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jira's guard.
Giant postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jira keeping moving, preventing Giant from controlling successfully.
Giant works over Jira with some ground and pound from guard.
Giant won't allow Jira to get back to his feet.
Giant postures up and lands a big shot to Jira's brow.
Jira is trying to control the position but Giant postures up.
Giant wants to pass the guard but Jira is keeping the position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Giant connects with a nice short shot to Jira's temple.
Giant throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Giant is looking to advance position but Jira won't allow it.
Jira is staying active underneath Giant, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Giant uses his free foot to push down on Jira's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jira.
Giant blocks Jira's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Giant avoids the attempt from Jira to control.
Jira is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jira wants to hold on but Giant pushes him away.
Giant lands a big elbow.
Giant breaks from Jira's wrist control and lands an elbow.

It looks like Go Jira has been cut.
Giant controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Giant cracks Jira with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Giant is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jira can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Jira is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Giant lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jira hang on?
Jira wants to hold on but Giant pushes him away.
Jira is trying to escape the mount.
Giant is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Go Jira's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jira tries to hold on but Giant postures up.
Giant punishing his opponent with strikes.
Jira is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Giant with a couple of short strikes.

Go Jira's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Giant trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Giant working away from the top, dropping strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Jira counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Go Jira's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
