Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bongo Bongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Cotton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bongo comes to the cage accompanied by Bang Time. Bongo Bongo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Bongo Bongo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Cotton!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotton lands an overhand right.
Cotton is looking to slow Bongo down with leg kicks.

Bongo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bongo showed some decent athleticism there.
Cotton is holding on to half guard well.
Bongo trying to control the action but Cotton is working from the bottom.
Cotton is looking to improve his position.
Bongo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bongo stops Cotton from getting back to his feet.
Cotton moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bongo is breathing heavily.
Cotton is trying to keep Bongo in close.
Bongo trying to control the position from guard on top but Cotton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cotton seems keen to control Bongo's posture.
Bongo looking to sit in guard and control but Cotton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cotton stands and steps away. Bongo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cotton tries to break the clinch but Bongo is controlling the position.

Cotton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harold Cotton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cotton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bongo as he avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cotton is defended easily by Bongo.
Bongo Bongo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Cotton.
Bongo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cotton shoots for a takedown but Bongo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bongo misses with a straight right.
Bongo looks to score with a jab to the body but Cotton is just out of range.
Bongo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Bongo cracks the inside of Cotton's front leg.

Cotton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bongo wants to control but Cotton is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bongo wants to get back to full guard.
Cotton has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Cotton avoids the attempt from Bongo to control.

Cotton looking to control but Bongo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Cotton controlling from mount.
Bongo wants to control but Cotton is having none of it.
Cotton controlling the pace for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Harold Cotton will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bongo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Cotton counters with a series of strikes. Bongo will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cotton tries to clinch there but Bongo circles away.
Cotton stuffs the takedown.
Bongo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Cotton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Cotton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bongo shoots in looking for a takedown. Cotton tries to sprawl out of it but Bongo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cotton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cotton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Bongo counters with a head kick. That will keep Cotton thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nice sprawl there from Bongo as Cotton shoots in.
Bongo Bongo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Cotton.
Cotton lands with a straight right. Bongo didn't see that one coming.
Cotton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bongo tries to avoid it but Cotton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bongo to the ground. Bongo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Cotton slaps away a takedown attempt from Bongo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bongo avoids the head kick by Cotton.
Cotton closes the distance and clinches up with Bongo, looking for a takedown. Cotton pushes Bongo against the cage but Bongo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cotton has his takedown stuffed
and Bongo counters with a nice body kick.

Cotton has closed the distance and engaged Bongo in a clinch.
Bongo is trying to drag Cotton to the mat but Cotton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bongo is pressed up against the cage. Cotton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bongo down to the mat. Bongo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Bongo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cotton's guard now.

Cotton is looking for a triangle but Bongo pushes his legs off easily.
Cotton wants to stand up but Bongo is controlling him.
Bongo trying to control but Cotton is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bongo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cotton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bongo sitting in guard here, content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bongo wants to control from the top but Cotton keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bongo tries to clinch but Cotton moves out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cotton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bongo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cotton sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bongo somewhat.

Bongo goes for a takedown attempt but Cotton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bongo stuffs the takedown attempt from Cotton. Cotton gets slowly back to his feet.
Cotton shoots in and drives through. Bongo sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bongo Bongo dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Nice takedown defense from Bongo. No joy for Cotton on that attempt.
Bongo Bongo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Cotton.
Bongo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cotton tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bongo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cotton somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cotton won't allow Bongo to sweep him here.

Bongo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bongo tries to get out of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Cotton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bongo was covering up waiting for the punch and Cotton finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Bongo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Cotton looking to sit in guard and control but Bongo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Cotton keeping moving, preventing Bongo from controlling successfully.
Cotton controls Bongo momentarily but Bongo frees himself.
Bongo wants to control from the top but Cotton keeps moving.
Bongo Bongo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cotton.
Bongo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cotton is fending him off so far but Bongo persists. Nope, Cotton circles away and we're back to standing.
Bongo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cotton swivels and escapes.
Bongo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cotton.
Jab, jab by Cotton - just one landing.

Bongo tries to keep at a distance but Cotton has taken the fight into the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bongo Bongo showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bongo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
