The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Fade. No joy for Volkovzky on that attempt.

Volkovzky had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fade is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Volkovzky Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fade's back instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A close round but Slow Fade will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Volkovzky shoots for a double leg takedown but Fade sprawls well. He's pushed Volkovzky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
