Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between carlo otcer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ciprian Bogatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ciprian Bogatu!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogatu throws an overhand right that lands on otcer's shoulder, as otcer tries to avoid the shot.

Bogatu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming otcer to the mat! otcer manages to get full guard.
Bogatu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Bogatu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
otcer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bogatu on the ground.
otcer wants to sweep but no luck.
Bogatu trying to control but otcer is working from the bottom.
Bogatu is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

otcer tries for a takedown but Bogatu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bogatu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bogatu is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. otcer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Bogatu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bogatu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

otcer is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bogatu's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ciprian Bogatu.
otcer throws a sloppy head kick and Bogatu moves out of range easily.

otcer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bogatu to score an easy takedown into full guard.
otcer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bogatu controls the pace.

Bogatu wants to control from the top but otcer keeps moving.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bogatu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. otcer was covering up waiting for the punch and Bogatu finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Bogatu throws and elbow that misses. otcer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bogatu's guard. Nice move by otcer!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bogatu is on top in guard.

Bogatu cracks otcer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bogatu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
BOOM! Bogatu connects with a massive shot to the dome!
otcer is squirming around, avoiding Bogatu's attempts to control the action.
