Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amir Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maito Poika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunham swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dunham throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Poika blocks a head kick by Dunham.
Dunham scores with a jab. Poika acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Dunham cracks Poika with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dunham ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dunham throws a hook but Poika blocks it.
Dunham shoots in for a takedown but Poika shows good takedown defense.
Poika throws the kick towards the body but Dunham avoids it.

Poika does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A punch lands to the side of Poika 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Poika fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dunham.

Dunham fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Poika sprawls well initially but Dunham persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Dunham postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Poika takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Dunham has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Poika's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
