The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calzone shoots in but no luck this time.
A combination from Calzone does no damage.

Al Zarqawi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Calzone napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Al Zarqawi lands some shots froms side control.
Calzone wants to get back to his feet but Al Zarqawi drags him back down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Al Zarqawi cracks Calzone with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Al Zarqawi lands a nice forearm strike.
Calzone tries to buck Al Zarqawi off but Al Zarqawi is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Calzone is trying to buck Al Zarqawi off.

Al Zarqawi decides to stand back up.
Al Zarqawi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Al Zarqawi tries to close the distance and clinch but Calzone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Calzone misses with a wild combination.
Al Zarqawi tries to clinch up.
Desmond Calzone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Al Zarqawi rushes Calzone and presses him up against the cage.

Al Zarqawi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Calzone clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
