The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paquiao shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jeco as he avoids it easily.
Paquiao shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jeco but Jeco pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jeco moves in looking to clinch but Paquiao pushes him off.
Paquiao shoots in for a takedown but Jeco shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Manny Paquiao. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Paquiao shoots in but Jeco avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Manny Paquiao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jeco clinches up against the cage.
Jeco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Paquiao smiles and moves away.

Jeco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Paquiao bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Paquiao is working to tighten is grip on Jeco's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jeco has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Paquiao is really squeezing tight and eventually Jeco passes out! Paquiao breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
