Jovi pushes van Bruggen away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, van Bruggen gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
van Bruggen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jovi's shoulder. That is not cool.
van Bruggen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johannes van Bruggen.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jovi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
