Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Allanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allanson has chosen Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It? as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw scores with a takedown into Allanson's guard.
Shaw trying to control but Allanson is working from the bottom.
Shaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allanson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allanson controls Shaw momentarily but Shaw frees himself.
Allanson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shaw controls the pace.

Shaw seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sam Shaw.
Allanson throws a jab but it's blocked by Shaw.
Allanson looks to score with a jab to the body but Shaw is just out of range.
Shaw pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Shaw takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Sam Shaw has been cut.
Allanson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oh Shaw is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shaw moves out of range of the strikes.
Shaw seems to have got his legs back now.
Allanson looks to throw the jab but Shaw is out of range.
Allanson connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Shaw! He's out on his feet! Allanson rushes in and drops Shaw with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
