PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eisenstein Priestley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eisenstein Priestley told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Priestley misses with a head kick.
Priestley tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Suzuki slips under a jab from Priestley.
Priestley tries to clinch there but Suzuki circles away.
Suzuki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Priestley was well out of range. Poor timing from Suzuki.
Suzuki lands a jab to the head.
Suzuki throws a leg kick but Priestley sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Priestley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Suzuki.

Suzuki moves into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Suzuki fails to land.
Suzuki managing to block the knees to the body from Priestley.
Priestley wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Priestley lands with a left to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Suzuki.
Suzuki digs a right hand into Priestley's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Priestley's gas tank.
Priestley misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Suzuki.
The referee calls for Suzuki to work.
Priestley tries to land knees in the clinch but Suzuki avoids the damage to the body.
Suzuki makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Suzuki stalling in the clinch.
Priestley creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Suzuki's defenses.
A right hook to the body lands for Suzuki.

Suzuki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Priestley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Suzuki.

Suzuki lands a nice hook to Priestley's body. Priestley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Priestley avoids the body shot from Suzuki.
A low kick from Suzuki misses
and Priestley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Suzuki clinches up against the cage.
Suzuki tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Priestley doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A left hand lands to the body for Suzuki.
Priestley pushes off an throws an elbow but Suzuki leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Priestley tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Suzuki avoids it.
Priestley looks gassed!
Suzuki lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Priestley throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Suzuki blocks it with crossed arms.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Suzuki.
With the fighters up against the cage, Priestley throws an elbow but misses.
Priestley tries to land knees in the clinch but Suzuki avoids the damage to the body.
A short right from Suzuki.
Priestley is trying to break the clinch but Suzuki is controlling him.
Priestley tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Suzuki avoids it.
Suzuki blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Priestley is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Suzuki is defending well for now.

Suzuki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Suzuki swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Priestley.

It looks like Eisenstein Priestley has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suzuki turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Priestley takes one to the chin there.

Priestley is rocked!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Suzuki! Priestley is backing up but he can't get away as Suzuki lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Priestley and ends the fight. Great knockout.
