Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anssi Randi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randi comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Party Up. Jesus Pope has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesus Pope!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randi blocks a low kick nicely.
Pope uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Randi.
Randi swings for the body but Pope moves out of range.

Randi drops Pope with a beautiful combination! Pope stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Randi is looking for the KO!

It looks like Jesus Pope has been cut.
Randi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pope moves away.
Good leg kick by Pope there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Randi lands a left and a right that send Pope crashing to the mat, dazed. Randi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Pope is rocked!
Randi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pope moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pope is still on wobbly legs! Can Randi finish him?
Randi throws a nice looking combination but Pope bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pope seems to have recovered his senses.
Randi throws out a leg kick but Pope moves out of range and Randi only half commits.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pope lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Randi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Randi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Randi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pope swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Pope lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Randi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Randi misses with a kick to the body.
Randi missing with a left hand there. Pope was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Pope throws a nice outside leg kick.
Pope tries to move into range but Randi moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That has opened up Jesus Pope's cut even more.

Pope avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pope tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Randi checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

A solid leg kick lands there for Pope.

Jesus Pope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pope throws the kick towards the body but Randi avoids it.
Randi throws a body punch but Pope moves out of range.

Randi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pope wants to slow Randi down by chopping away at his legs.

Pope breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pope throws a head kick but Randi moves out of range.
A low kick from Pope is predictable there
and Randi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Randi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pope.
Pope lands with a kick to the ribs.
Pope lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Randi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Pope steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Randi.
Pope fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Randi moves into range and connects with a jab.

The cut above Jesus Pope's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A nice inside leg kick there by Pope. That's going to slow Randi down.
Randi misses with a body punch
and Pope counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Randi needs to keep his hands up - Pope had a free shot at his head there.

Pope drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Pope is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Pope takes a jab right on the kisser.

Jesus Pope's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Randi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Randi misses the jab.
Pope tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Pope decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Randi is looking to control Pope's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Randi avoid being mounted?
Randi holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Randi is trying to stand up here but Pope is controlling him well.
Pope is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Randi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pope is fighting to break Randi's control of his arms but Randi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Pope lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Randi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pope's guard.
Randi wants to control from the top but Pope keeps moving.

Randi gets to his feet. Pope looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Randi connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pope. Pope circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Pope throws a leg kick that is checked
and Randi counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jesus Pope's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
