Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Markku Alarinne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ming Ong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alarinne comes to the ring accompanied by Chiquita Ska Band - American Jesus. Ming Ong looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ong throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alarinne.
Alarinne slips a jab and a cross from Ong.
The crowd cheers as Ong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Alarinne doesn't seem phased though.
Ming Ong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
An inside leg kick lands from Ong.
Ong looks to throw the jab but Alarinne is out of range.
Ong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alarinne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ong uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alarinne.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Alarinne shoots for a takedown but Ong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Ong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Alarinne circles away quickly and effectively.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Ong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Alarinne tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ong just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Alarinne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ong tries to avoid it but Alarinne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ong to the ground. Ong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Alarinne misses with a takedown attempt - Ong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alarinne closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Alarinne has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ong finds it's way round the side to connect with Alarinne's head.
Alarinne tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alarinne somewhat.

Alarinne fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ong avoids it really well and circles away.
Alarinne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ong is fending him off so far but Alarinne persists. Nope, Ong circles away and we're back to standing.
