The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
pedrera showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ali.

Ali shoots in and drives through. pedrera sprawls well.
Jose pedrera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhamad Ali.
Ali shoots in for a takedown but pedrera shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for Ali with that takedown attempt.

pedrera shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ali's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

pedrera drops back looking for a leg! Ali is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ali manages to kick pedrera off! pedrera jumps back into Ali's guard.

pedrera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and pedrera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ali will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

pedrera slips nicely into half guard.

pedrera is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ali is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
