Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Sakara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Umberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakara comes into the arena with F*** You - Cee Lo Green blaring out of the sound system. Umberto has chosen Perry Como - Magic Moments as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alessio Sakara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umberto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sakara is fending him off so far but Umberto persists. Nope, Sakara circles away and we're back to standing.
Sakara throws a right hand that Umberto ducks under and follows up with a left that Umberto also avoids with ease.
Sakara misses with a low kick as Umberto jumps back.
Umberto avoids the head kick by Sakara.
Sakara fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Umberto.
Sakara is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Umberto asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Umberto cracks Sakara with a big right hand but Sakara just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Well, with Umberto on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Sakara is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Umberto is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Sakara defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Umberto is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Sakara is defending well though. Umberto let's go of the attempt for now.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Umberto shoots for a double leg takedown but Sakara sprawls well. He's pushed Umberto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Umberto shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sakara's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Sakara is trying to stand up here but Umberto is controlling him well.

Umberto passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Sakara!
Sakara is squirming around, avoiding Umberto's attempts to control the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Sakara that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sakara wants to try and get back to his feet.
Umberto is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sakara can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Umberto won't let Sakara get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Roberto Umberto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Sakara's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Nice straight punches there by Sakara. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sakara.
Sakara throws a sloppy head kick and Umberto moves out of range easily.
Umberto shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Umberto showed some decent athleticism there.
Umberto is trying for a kimura here. Sakara looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Umberto wins by kimura!
