The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nascimento displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Egan.
Egan throws a head kick but Nascimento moves out of range.
Nascimento doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Egan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Nascimento utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Egan lands a couple of elbows.
Egan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Egan stopping the sweep attempt from Nascimento.

Egan is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Nascimento has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Egan is looking to defend but Nascimento has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Egan! Nascimento pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Egan taps out and this one is all over!
